For many of us makeup has proven to be part of our everyday routine. Whether you’re into the heavy smoky look or the sweet and subtle look, everyone expresses themselves in their own way through makeup. While there are many brands out there featuring countless of products, not all brands are eco-conscious.
So what does eco-conscious mean? The official definition is “marked by or showing concern for the environment”, or in other words one being eco-friendly. While the popularity of eco-conscious products are beginning to gain its momentum in some parts of the world, other parts like in Malaysia are still catching up.
However, one Malaysian brand who recently jumped in on the eco-conscious bandwagon is Luxuria Cosmetics, an eco-conscious brand that specializes in natural and cruelty-free beauty products founded by Diana and Harveen. Lurxuria has been approved as Cruelty Free from PETA (People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals) and the New Zealand SAFE Organization. Luxuria Cosmetics carries a wide range of products focusing on natural ingredients including mineral foundation, mineral powders, mineral eye shadow, lip-gloss, crème blush, mascara, and a brand new anti-aging foundation.
I personally tried out some of their products, and I was impressed with a few of them, particularly the mineral bronzer and mineral finishing powder. All in all, I have to say I’m looking forward to the expansion of the company and its line especially since it recently joined forces with one of Malaysia’s leading e-commerce companies, LAZADA.
