Hello there,
So it’s been a month since I last updated. I can tell you a whole bunch of reasons why I was away for so long, but then would it really matter? All I can say is that I’m free (for two weeks at least before the new semester rolls in), and I want to reconnect with you ghaise.
Let’s talk about my April favourites:
1) Verdez Olivia Multipurpose Bag
On a particular weekend, I attended one of the many local festivals held in KL that feat. local brands, and I stumbled upon this brand while on a job assignment. What I particularly like about this brand is their ability to create new items, but with a vintage flair. I highly recommend checking them out especially if you live in Malaysia. Ever since I bought this bag, I haven’t looked back. This multipurpose bag has been aptly nicknamed in my household as the “Dato’ Pouch” since a lot of 50+ year old Datos here in Malaysia are known for sporting similar looking pouches filled with their cigars and cash within the KL/Selangor vicinity. (this joke can be understood if you understand the whole class system of dato/tan sri/tun/etc,. Apologies to my readers if you don’t get it)
P/S You can get your initials engraved. *fancy*

2) Verdez Olivia Card Holder
Functions just like any other card holder with a bonus sim card slot. Just wanted to highlight this one because of the design mainly. Till today, I’m not exactly sure what the material of this thing is made out of, but the design mimics the look of a champagne cork which I just think is quite the unique little thing.

3) Sekkisei Lotion 30th Anniversary Edition
I love this lotion by KOSE. Ghaise, let me tell you, its the best and most refreshing thing you can ever use for you skin, and once its fully absorbed it leaves the skin all glowy and soft. I love using this lotion after a long day out in the sun, it’s just such a treat. You gotta try it.

4) Diptyque Candle (Figuier)
I’ve developed an insane love for scented candles. (Is there an addiction for this? I have so many scented candles in my room it’s borderline unhealthy) Anyway, back to my dearest diptyque, this little guy mimics the smell of a fig tree, so the scent is like when sweetness meets earthiness. This brand is like the Chanel of all scented candles. It’s classy, elegant, and the scents are evergreen. If I ever go to Paris, one of my to-do lists would be to head over to their original store and inhale all the scents so deeply while I cry tears of happiness.
Also, can we? Please? I need this 1500g (4 wick) candle.

5) MUZIK Eyewear (Jazz – Track 03)
This is by far one of my favourite shades to date. It’s just the right amount of tinting to shield my eyes from the super bright South East Asian sun. It’s cat-eye shaped and covers a nice portion of the face. I’m not sure if you can find this brand outside of the country. The only place I know where they sell the glasses is on their website. The shades are based on a Korean design, but are made in France. Extra Info: The box for the sunglasses doubles as a homemade speaker for your iPhone.

So that rounds up for this month’s favourites. I hope you’ve enjoyed this month’s edition. If you fell in love with any of the products, or you are already a proud owner of any of the products mentioned above, let me know as I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
Till then,
