Hello friends,
Well then first of all, I’d like to issue an apology for being off the grid for the past I don’t know how long. School, jobs, and other things kept me away and uninspired for the longest time ever.
For today’s post, I want to talk about the 90s. Yes, the good ol’ 90s, where being an angsty teen was the hot s*it, and questionable hairstyle trends were the in-thing (remember mini buns? what the…)
Anyway, despite the craziness and questionable fashion choices, there are a few things I particularly miss about this quirky but unique era. Here’s a list of the top 5 things I wish would make a comeback:
1. Chokers
Choker necklaces were the most subtle form of jewellery one could ever own. You could either dress it up or down depending on your outfit. It was such a versatile piece of jewellery.
2. Overalls
Guys, before you give me the side-eye, think about it. Whether you like it long or short, baggy or tight, overalls were the perfect outfit for a casual day. Just wear a shirt, and slip on them overalls, and you’re good to go.
3. Tendrils
Tendrils were the epitome of the girl-next-door look. You had your skinny tendrils, your thick tendrils, or even your wavy tendrils. I think it’s time we bring the tendrils back.
4. Brown Lipstick
Brown lipstick has always been a bold colour for me. It suits almost every skin tone, and the colour makes you look a bit more mysterious and dangerous too.
5. Backpacks
When did backpacks go out of style? Really though? When did everyone decide that backpacks were “not cool” enough? I can’t stress just how much backpacks are amazing. They fit almost anything you can imagine, and backpacks come in all great shapes and sizes too.
